Air receiver is an important component of a Compressed Air treatment system. The important functions of a Air receiver are as follows:
Equalization of pressure variation in the supply, thus ensuring safety of the pipes and machines from protection against shocks.
Ensures smooth laminar flow of compressed air there by minimizing frictional and turbulence losses.
Storage of compressed air to meet excess of compressor capacity. Thus a smaller compressor can be used where high volume of air is needed for a brief period of time. Hence the cost on a bigger compressor is saved.
